Our Kodiak Bears are amazing and we are booking our Bear View
Flightseeing Tours for the summer!
Our tours run 4 ½ hours long and include lunch and beverages and amazing scenery along the way to either Fraser Lake Nature Reserve or Katmai Wilderness Park . Flying time is from 45 – 60 minutes each way by floatplane and you spend about an hour and a half on the ground with the bears.
At Fraser Lake (July & August) you land in an inland lake and hike to a hill overlooking theFraser River, a literal Kodiak bear park, with bear families fishing and eating salmon and playing in the water and on the fish weir and surrounding area. To get to the viewing area you hike about a half mile along a mountain wildflower trail which is fairly easy.
At Katmai, (June & September) you land in an ocean harbor and walk along the rivers and shoreline to see the bears digging for clams and fishing for salmon in the rivers. Both trips include lunch beverages and a snack, and wonderful flightseeing around Kodiak Island’s mountains and harbors.
We also offer a $265 one hour flightseeing tour around the island, which during July & August has a VERY good chance of seeing Kodiak bears! Another great way to see Kodiak is to fly out to one of our six villages and back- a flightseeing tour on its own!
